Terms of Service

1. Introduction

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of services provided by UK Auto Limited t/a ES Rentals ("Company"). By booking a vehicle, you agree to these Terms.

2. Eligibility to Rent

• Drivers must be between 21 and 65 years old.
• A valid UK or international driving licence must have been held for at least 3 years.

3. Vehicle Use

• Smoking, off-road driving, and transporting pets are strictly prohibited.
• Vehicles must not be used for illegal purposes or driving under the influence.

4. Rental Period and Mileage

• Rentals include 300 miles per day unless stated otherwise.
• Additional miles will incur extra charges, calculated per mile.

5. Fuel Policy

Vehicles must be returned with a full tank. If not, fuel costs will be charged accordingly.

6. Booking and Deposit

• A deposit of £500 is required to secure a booking.
• Deposits are refundable only if cancellations are made more than 24 hours in advance.
• Cancellations:
• More than 3 days: 5% of deposit fee deducted on Day 1, 10% on Day 2, 15% on Day 3.
• Within 24 hours: deposit is forfeited.
• If a customer's eligibility check fails before rental, a full refund will be issued.

7. Modifications

• Booking modifications are allowed subject to availability.
• If the modified dates fall during a higher demand period, the rate will increase accordingly.
• All modifications incur an additional fee.

8. Insurance and Liability

• Vehicles are insured under self-drive hire insurance.
• In case of damage or an accident caused by the renter, the £500 deposit will be retained.
• For severe damage or total loss, the renter may be liable for further costs, subject to investigation.

9. Late Returns

A grace period of 1 hour is allowed. Returns after this window will incur a charge equal to a full day’s rental rate.

10. Traffic Violations

Any fines or penalties incurred during the rental period are the renter’s responsibility. These will be forwarded to the driver to resolve.

11. Cleaning Policy

No additional cleaning fees will apply unless the vehicle is returned in a state requiring specialist cleaning or decontamination.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Kingdom. Disputes shall be handled in accordance with UK legal procedures.
